This 15-minute video walks you step-by-step through how to use Pinterest for Genealogy
Why I Organize My Genealogy Projects with Pinterest
I’m a very visual genealogist. This is why I gravitate to digital storytelling through scrapbooks and home movie creation. I have used the internet to visually share content since 1996 when I began helping my mother with her blog -- Turn For the Judges which highlighted teenagers and adult women in beauty pageants.
When I began using Pinterest to organize my scrapbooking inspiration, I fell in love. I knew that the search engine could show me the layouts and products I wanted to try. I could also share my finished projects as well.
I’ve recently discovered that Pinterest can help me and my fellow family historians organize or research projects, find inspiration when the research becomes challenging or no one appreciates our efforts, and helps me see the resources I want to reference when writing family histories.
